Owned and operated by Candice Anderson and her husband Josh, Reflections Funeral & Cremation Services opened its doors to the public on September 23, 2020. Reflections Funeral & Cremation takes pride in caring for your family's loved ones during the final stage of life and states, “that they will work tirelessly to provide their clientele with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one.

On September 15, Reflections held their grand opening and customer appreciation BBQ under blustery weather conditions which didn’t damper the attendance of the event. Two hundred and twenty-five attendees were provided a roast beef meal which consisted of roast beef, macaroni salad, coleslaw, beans, pickles, and buns at no cost, but they had the opportunity to donate for the Ice Plant that yielded over $700 with Anderson rounding it up to an even $1000.

The event also had several door prizes purchased locally from Rural Roots Florist, The Red Brick, Branded, Men’s Den, Underground Treasures, Fantasy Flowers, Elevation, Copper Cork, Bird Hill Liquor, and the Co-op. The lucky winners of the door prizes were Francis Carlson, Emma Lumley, Carolyn DeFord, and Ralph Feenstra. They also had entertainment provided Cassie Cameron who blessed the crowd with her soulful voice, and an entertainment set provided by Ray Blackmore, Niko Timpano, and Don Milot.

“The decision to continue my career path by opening Reflections was an easy choice, as the amount of support I’ve received from Vermilion and surrounding communities have been in abundance. I wanted to thank our citizens for their trust in us, their kind words and the constant encouragement. I’m proud to call Vermilion home, endeavour to support local and am honoured to serve our families.” commented Anderson.
