On January 3, the Scotiabank Vermilion Branch presented Finding Opportunities through Community Understanding and Support (FOCUS) Society with a cheque for funds raised through the branch’s BBQ fundraiser held on May 12, 2023. In partnership with Scotiabank’s Team Community Program, the Vermilion branch was able to donate $3,464.50 to assist Focus Society with their programming needs.

FOCUS provides disabilities services for semi-independent living, including a 24-hour group home and support with daily living skills and employment preparation; family and children services for crisis, trauma, and addictions; and fee-for-service transportation services to medical appointments.

Dawn Riley, Special Projects Program Director, said, “FOCUS truly appreciates Scotiabank’s continued support.”

Scotiabank Vermilion Branch Manager Barb Rozka said, “Thank you to the community for their support of our fundraiser and to all of the FOCUS team that assisted us during the day. We are so fortunate to have FOCUS and the many support programs it provides in our community and surrounding areas.”
