Town Council held a regular Town Council Meeting on May 18; here are some of the highlights:

Council Proclaimed May 24-28 as Alberta Rural Health Week, honouring rural health care providers. Mayor McAuley acknowledged the unique circumstances rural health care can present and thanked all those who step up to provide the best care possible in our area.

Council declared June 7-13 as Seniors Week.

Intermunicipal Development Plan Public Open House was held on May 13, and went well. Watch for updates.

The Town’s organic program began in April and appeared to be well received. There will be updates regarding this program in the June meetings.

The Vermilion River Watershed Alliance was nominated for the Emerald award in the category of “Shared Footprints.” Visit the Town’s website for a video with our Mayor congratulating the partnership on their nomination.
