Vehicle And Grass Fire

Vermilion Fire and Rescue were quick to respond to a vehicle and grass fire the morning of April 12, east of Vermilion near Range Road 55. Vermilion RCMP and Vermilion Ambulance also attended.

Upon arriving on scene a car was fully involved in flames as well as some grass and bush in the surrounding area. The fire was quickly contained and then extinguished.  There were no casualties, however, the Vermilion RCMP will be investigating the fire as it is suspicious in manner.

“Due to the dry conditions, quick notification and response are important to be able to control and extinguish fires.  Vermilion Fire and Rescue would like to remind readers that there is a County of Vermilion River partial fire ban in effect,” stated Deputy Fire Chief, Anton Krys.
