The Vermilion Gun Club held its Member Appreciation day Saturday, August 7. Three activities were set up for visitors to try, which included .22 caliber handgun shooting, .22 caliber rifle practice, and shooting clay birds on the Trap Range with a 12 gauge shotgun. Visitors who chose to try the activities were given thorough safety instructions and explanations of the firearms used. Director Doreen McRobert stated that they had a good turnout, and was pleased with the day. Visitors were treated to burgers and lounging in the newly meshed deck off the clubhouse, as well as some beautiful scenery.
