Wikipedia states that Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison all died at the age of 27, from 1969 - 1971. Some comments were made, but it was not until 1994, after the death of Kurt Cobain, that the idea of a "Forever 27 Club" began to recognize Rock stars that had all passed on at the same age. In 2011, Amy Winehouse revived the folklore when she too died at the age of 27.
