Whether out for a stroll or looking for a quiet place to have a beer the new 4th Meridian Brewing company has opened for business in Lloydminster at 2616 50 Ave.

Owners Brad and Helen Hoffman have been running their own microbrewery since September of last year in their family owned shop just on the outskirts of town, but in March of this year found the perfect location to open their new tavern.

"In the beginning, we were using the equipment and learning the process of the industry; all the rules and regulations that go along with it and we were strictly selling wholesale to local bars, restaurants and liquor stores," said Helen Hoffman

Upon obtaining the new space, the Hoffman's had to complete renovations to convert it into the new 4th Meridian Brewery and tap room and officially had their grand opening on August 3, 2017.

"It has been going pretty good so far, our concept here is to have a space for people come in and sit down to have a beer verses before we were strictly wholesaling to other retailers, so now we are the retailer as well," said Hoffman.

The 4th Meridian Brewery and tap house serve a variety of beers off their 6-tap system, and their lineup is ever changing! They offer pints, half-pints, growlers, and complimentary samples. As a bonus the Rock n Roll food truck parks in the parking lot of the tap house which offers patrons an opportunity to order food while enjoying a beer.

"The restaurants in the area will also do food deliveries to our location, so you can order a pizza from a local restaurant and enjoy a beer at the same time because we don't do food here. We are also dog and cat-friendly," said Hoffman.

The hours of operation are currently Wednesday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
