Hundreds of residents and community members enjoyed a Valentine’s Day Tea hosted by the Vermilion Valley Lodge on February 14.

Guests savoured angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream along with their tea, while visiting residents. A raffle was held with donations made by residents and community members for several prizes, as well as a quilt and a grocery hamper.

According to recreation director, Marilyn Evans, the tea is the Recreation Program’s only fundraiser of the year.

“We thank you so much for your support. We have had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs,” said Brittany Lysons, supportive housing recreation director, in reference to her time spent with residents.
