Approximately 150 people attended the Pancake Breakfast at the Mannville Fire Department on October 6. Created by a past Fire Chief for a community member with Muscular Dystrophy, the crew continues to support the same cause and create fire prevention awareness. Overall, the community enjoyed the opportunity to get together and support the Fire Department. With the breakfast being hosted for over 30 years, it continues to raise funds for Muscular Dystrophy. “The Mannville Fire Department is community-based, and the breakfast was another success,” said Fire Captain Dean Gadke, who added that a member of the Fire Department also has a family member who is affected by Muscular Dystrophy. Gadke noted the importance of sharing fire prevention information.
