Families gathered at Bud Miller All Seasons Park on Saturday, September 12, as Lloydminster welcomed the fall season with its annual Fall Fest.

A large crowd made its way through the park during the five-hour event, enjoying an afternoon of free activities, food and entertainment designed for all ages.

Hosted by the City of Lloydminster and presented by Y’s Marketing, Fall Fest offered residents an opportunity to spend time together while celebrating the changing season and the region’s agricultural heritage.

Running from noon until 5 p.m., the event featured activities spread throughout a secdtion of the park. Children had plenty to keep them busy with bounce castles, inflatable attractions, face painting, interactive activities, games and crafts.

Traditional fall activities were also part of the festivities, with families enjoying horse-and-wagon rides and a petting zoo, bringing a touch of the country into the city for the afternoon.

Live music added to the atmosphere throughout the day as families wandered through the grounds and took in the different activities.

Food was also a popular stop for visitors. A corn roast, hot dog barbecue and treat tent were available while supplies lasted, with suggested donations collected in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lloydminster.

With activities geared toward children the afternoon provided families with an opportunity to spend time outdoors and enjoy the community atmosphere as summer begins to give way to fall.

Fall Fest is one of several community events hosted by the City of Lloydminster throughout the year, offering free and inclusive activities that encourage residents to come together and enjoy what the community has to offer.

The event was made possible with the support of numerous local businesses and organizations. Along with presenting sponsor Y’s Marketing, several community sponsors contributed to this year’s celebration.

By the time the afternoon wrapped up, Fall Fest had provided another successful day at Bud Miller All Seasons Park, with families taking advantage of the warm community atmosphere, entertainment and activities offered throughout the day.
