Lions Club Medieval Feast Delivers An Evening Of Food, Fun And Laughter

Lords, ladies and townsfolk gathered at the Kitscoty Community Hall on September 26 for the Lions Club of Lloydminster's Annual Medieval Feast, enjoying an evening filled with delicious food, laughter and plenty of medieval antics. The popular event once again drew a near capacity crowd, with guests stepping back in time to enjoy an atmosphere reminiscent of the medieval era. From the decorations and entertainment to the playful antics throughout the evening, the hall was transformed into a setting fit for royalty. A minstrel added to the authentic atmosphere, while court games, a photo booth and music from the on site DJ provided plenty of entertainment throughout the evening. Along with the food and festivities, guests had several opportunities to support the Lions Club through a silent auction, Treasure Chest raffle and 50/50 draw. The festivities began with Town Crier introductions and the opening of the Lions Tavern, setting the tone for an evening of fun and friendly mischief. Guests were treated to a fantastic four course feast, with each course offering a delicious combination of food that left those in attendance well fed and ready for the evening's entertainment. Between courses, laughter filled the hall as guests participated in medieval games, tournaments and other activities. The roaming sheriffs kept a watchful eye on the crowd, ensuring that anyone caught misbehaving had a chance to experience a little medieval justice in the stocks. The lighthearted spirit of the event was evident as guests embraced the medieval theme, sharing laughs with friends and fellow attendees while enjoying the unique experience the Lions Club brings to the community each year. The annual feast has become a popular tradition, bringing people from Lloydminster, Kitscoty and surrounding communities together for an evening of fellowship and entertainment while supporting the Lions Club of Lloydminster and the service work it carries out throughout the community. Barcown Petroleum was this year's event sponsor. With another successful evening of feasting, laughter and medieval merriment, the Lions Club's Annual Medieval Feast once again provided guests with a memorable night of fun while bringing the community together for a worthwhile cause.
