The Town of Vermilion presented a new business welcome plaque to Vermilion’s newest eating establishment, The Hungry Hippie Salad and Sandwich Shop on February 15. Situated inside the Lighten Up shop on Mainstreet, the Hungry Hippie offers Vermilion residents and visitors a lighter, healthier alternative for lunch and dinner. With a full menu of subs, soups and salads, including the options to create your own there are plenty of choices for customers.

The Shop has its own entrance on the west side of the building and a nice bright seating area for people to enjoy their meal. Owner Darren Skolarchuk has plans to create an outdoor dining experience this summer and is hoping to have online ordering set up soon.
