Despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, the 2026 Wainwright & District Chamber of Commerce Trade Expo still drew a strong turnout this past weekend, with residents and visitors showing up to support local businesses, reconnect with neighbours, and take in one of the community’s signature annual events.
Held April 24 and 25 at the Peace Memorial Multiplex, the two-day event transformed the facility into a busy hub of activity, featuring vendors, entertainment, family attractions, food, and networking opportunities.
Inside, attendees moved through a full lineup of marketplace booths representing businesses, organizations, and services from Wainwright and surrounding areas. From handmade products and local services to information booths and community groups, the expo offered visitors a chance to see firsthand the depth of entrepreneurship and talent within the region.
While shopping and browsing remained a major draw, the event offered much more than vendor tables. Food trucks parked outside, along with the rink concession, kept visitors well fed throughout the weekend as crowds came and went.
