Webb’s Ford Vermilion helped stock the shelves of the Vermilion Food Bank this week, delivering 460 pounds of non-perishable food and other donated items on Oct. 3.

The donations were collected throughout September as part of the Ford Building Together Global Food Drive, an initiative that saw Ford dealerships around the world working to support food banks and organizations in their own communities.

Webb’s Ford Vermilion General Manager Andrew Webb said the local collection was made possible through the generosity of both staff and customers.

“Today we delivered our donation to the Vermilion Food Bank,” said Webb. “The food drive was a part of the ‘Ford Building Together Global Food Drive’ that included participation from Ford dealers around the world. Through staff and customer donations, we were able to deliver 460 lbs of non-perishable items to the local food bank!”

Webb’s Ford Wainwright also took part in the global food drive, collecting donations in support of its community.

The Vermilion donation comes at a time when food banks continue to play an important role in helping individuals and families who may need additional support, with contributions from local businesses and residents helping to keep their shelves stocked.
