The Dewberry Chuckwagon Racing Heritage Society was given the green flag drop by Alberta Health Services (AHS) to hold their chuckwagon races this year as long as they follow all guidelines set by AHS.

Currently, they are approved to hold the event in a drive-in style, but the Society is hoping it will change by the time the event is held.

“We are hoping by the time racing starts we will be allowed to have fans in the bleachers,” stated David Bensmiller.

The Society is over the moon to announce that they will be hosting at least 22 World Professional Chuckwagon Association drivers to compete in their show from July 1-4 weekend.

“The drivers will compete for a $25,000 Final Heat Dash For Cash! The dash for cash is included within a $50,000 guaranteed weekend payout. Our first 50/50 raffle is closed and we will be starting a new one any day,” exclaimed Bensmiller.
