Four Vermilion dancers have been selected to compete as part of Team Canada at the International Dance Organization’s World Tap Dance Championships in Riesa, Germany held November 26 – 30.

Approximately 200 dancers met at Lakeland College in Vermilion for the 29th Annual Vermilion Dance Festival on April 26 – 27, hosted by the Vermilion Dance Association (VDA).
The theme of this year’s festival was, ‘Dancing is like dreaming with your feet.’
VDA member Kamdyn Maron said, “I love to dance because I get a lot of exercise and it’s a lot of fun; Miss Taylor is awesome!”

The Vermilion Ukrainian Cultural Association hosted their 24th Annual Dance Festival at Lakeland College’s Alumni Theatre in Vermilion on April 12 - 14.
The festival included hundreds of dances performed by many dancers from all across Alberta. These included the Vermilion Samotsvit dancers as well as members from well known clubs like the Shumka and Cheremosh clubs from Edmonton.
