Nutrition Class Offers Support To Expectant Mothers

New pregnancy nutrition class helps mothers during their pregnancies

VERMILION – Local mothers who are expecting a child, or are planning to become pregnant are now able to attend a free nutrition class offered by Alberta Health Services.

Classes are led by Registered Dietitians who share their expertise in group discussions and provide support and encouragement to participants. The class will provide valuable nutrition information and strategies for expectant mothers, or those who are planning on becoming pregnant.

Nutrition: Starting off Healthy (no charge)

• Foods and nutrients needed for pregnancy

• Healthy weight gain

• Food demonstration and tasting

Tuesday, September 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Vermilion Provincial Building - 4701 52 Street.

Expectant mothers are welcome to bring a support person.
