Vermilion Credit Union Golf Tournament

There was a lot of enthusiasm at the Vermilion Golf & Country Club as the Vermilion Credit Union hosted their 19th Annual Golf Tournament on June 14. Over the past 18 years, the tournament has raised $120,600 for local charities. This year’s recipients were Mannville Minor Ball, Rusylvia Ball Diamonds, and Vermilion Roar Lacrosse. “We’re thrilled to be able to support these groups and would like to thank their members for volunteering for the event,” said Christa Grocock, Credit Union Member Service Supervisor. Around the course, golfers enjoyed the high stakes with a ‘putt for lotto’ challenge, hole-in-one prize, a smoker raffle (including a $250 meat certificate), and a refreshment package. “We always look forward to hosting; it’s a fun event each year. We have dedicated members who look forward to participating each year and, we are very thankful for their support. Being a co-operative company, giving back to the community has always been a big part of the Vermilion Credit Union; enriching some of the area’s clubs and people that are a part of them and we enjoy helping out when we can,” said Grocock.
