Locally owned and operated, Hubkins Restaurant, located in downtown Vermilion, is now offering BarBQ Brand Meats.
During the COVID health measures, in-dining service was prohibited and Hubkins chose to expand and add a certified meat processing facility, complete with a huge walk-in smoker room for curing and smoking all kinds of meats.
Vermilion and area residents now have the opportunity to purchase locally inspected and processed beef and pork.
“We are sourcing locally and ethically produced beef and pork and it is processed, prepared, and packaged right here at BarBQ Brand Meats,” said Manager Randy Riley.
The new BarBQ Brand will offer a variety of meat items such as pork chops, pork steak, pork roasts, ground pork on requests, sausages, hams, and bacon (three flavours, regular, brown sugar, and maple). On the beef side, available for purchase will be beef roasts, steaks, and ground beef, 100% beef hamburger patties, that have absolutely no additives or binders. Also available are pepperoni, natural and assorted flavoured jerky, and some specialty items when available.
“We are excited to open our new meat processing area and we are being very selective in the quality of meats we are sourcing from local producers and we have a very experienced and knowledgeable meat cutter on staff,” said Riley.
On the restaurant side, in addition to their already fantastic menu of homemade buns, burgers, soups, fries, and smoked ribs and brisket, and much more, Hubkins is introducing ‘Pick Your Steak.’
“If a guest is coming for breakfast, lunch, or supper they can select their personal choice of steak and we will prepare it for them to their liking and they can add whatever sides they want to make it a meal,” explained Riley. “We are now open, again at 6 a.m. for the best breakfast in town, all day, and until 9 p.m. for indoor dining and will continue takeout and delivery.”
Also now available at Hubkins are canning items from the Crazy Pig Lady Canning and Crates.
