Fall Information Night Showcases The Best Of Vermilion
More than 40 local clubs and organizations came together at the Vermilion Regional Centre on Thursday, Sept. 10, for Fall Information Night, giving residents a chance to see just how much Vermilion and the surrounding area have to offer.
The community came out in great numbers throughout the evening, stopping by tables, asking questions and learning about the many activities, programs, clubs and opportunities available for both youth and adults.
There was plenty of visiting and socializing along the way. Friends and neighbours caught up, families wandered from table to table and local organizations had the opportunity to talk about what they do and hopefully welcome a few new faces.
With more than 40 groups all gathered under one roof, there really was something for everyone. Whether people were looking for sports, recreation, a new interest, volunteer opportunities or simply wanted to see what was happening in the community, there was lots to discover.
One of the best parts of an evening like this is seeing everything Vermilion has to offer brought together in one place. So many of these clubs and organizations are powered by volunteers and people who put countless hours into keeping activities, programs and opportunities available within the community.
The strong turnout was also a great show of support for those groups and gave residents a chance to connect with the people behind them.
Fall Information Night was ultimately an evening of conversation, connections and community. It was a chance to learn something new, find another way to get involved and, maybe most importantly, show off a little of what makes Vermilion such a great community to call home.
