udents and staff at JR Robson School came together to honour the legacy of Terry Fox with their annual Terry Fox Run. The event began in the gym, where Vice Principal Nicole Polishuk addressed the school community. She reminded students of the importance of the cause, highlighting that they had the honour of walking alongside a cancer survivor that day.
Cole Baptiste, as a cancer survivor, proudly wore a special Terry’s Team T-shirt, joined the walk as a symbol of strength and resilience.
Adding to the special atmosphere of the day, retired teacher Mr. Craig Campbell returned to JR Robson to lead the Terry Fox Walk. His familiar face and spirited leadership set the tone for the afternoon as he guided the group through their walk around town.
With Mr. Campbell at the front, the lead students set a steady, brisk pace, and the rest of the school followed with enthusiasm and purpose. It was a meaningful and memorable day for everyone involved. A time to reflect, to honour those affected by cancer, and to carry forward Terry Fox’s message of hope and determination.
