Quarter Cuts Celebrates New Facility With Official Ribbon Cutting

Quarter Cuts Ltd. marked an exciting milestone on June 25 as owners Dallas and Morgan Hoffman officially celebrated their new Vermilion facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Joining the Hoffmans for the occasion were Town of Vermilion Mayor Robert Snow, Deputy Mayor Kevin Martin, Vermilion Chamber Executive Director Aiyana Thompson, and Town of Vermilion Economic Development Manager Mary Lee Prior. During the ceremony, Dallas and Morgan were also presented with the Town of Vermilion Welcome Plaque.

What began as a dream around a kitchen table has grown into one of the region’s premier custom meat processing businesses.

Several years ago, Dallas and Morgan Hoffman made the decision to pursue a new path; one built around their passion for meat cutting and serving their community. After Dallas completed the Professional Meat Cutting and Merchandising Program at NAIT, the couple turned their vision into reality, opening Quarter Cuts in 2019. Since then, the business has experienced tremendous growth thanks to the overwhelming support of customers from Vermilion and surrounding communities.

Quarter Cuts has now moved from its original location into a newly constructed facility at 4409 42 Avenue in Vermilion. The new shop is approximately three times larger than their previous location, allowing the business to significantly increase production capacity and better serve its growing customer base.

The business currently custom processes approximately 15 beef per week and also offers custom processing for pigs, sheep, and bison. Over the years, the team has even had the unique opportunity to process specialty animals such as ostrich.

The new facility features a spacious 900-square-foot retail area stocked with a wide variety of products, including fresh beef steaks and roasts, pork, chicken, marinated items, fresh breakfast and dinner sausages, smoked products such as smokies, rings, pepperoni, jerky sticks, sliced jerky, and bacon.

Customers will also find burgers, salmon, ground beef, specialty meats including kangaroo and alligator, marinated products, soup and pet bones, but that’s not all! If you are looking to purchase a whole or side of beef the Hoffman’s can source that for you too. Quarter Cuts’ also have their own in-house made “Offally Good” pet supplement, created using nutrient-rich beef organs and offered as a nutritious treat or dietary supplement for pets.
