Donations from our amazing communities continue to pour into the Vermilion Community Closet, giving the Community Closet the opportunity to give back.
During the month of April donations were made to:
● VES Hot Lunch Program - $2000
● Dewberry Early Childhood Parents Society - $1000
● Assisted Living Alberta, Homecare - $1102.50
● Vermilion Vipers Swim Club - $1000
The month of June saw the Closet give donations to:
● Vermilion Elks for renovation project - $1000
● Focus DSS for Client Activities - $2000
● Friends of Vermilion Health Care for Accuvein Vein Finder- $9190
● Canadian Nationals Rodeo - $2500
● Vermilion Minor Ball upgrades to the concession - $2000
In July we donated to:
● Kiddie Oasis - $2000
● Vermilion Fire Dept - Restoration of Historical Fire Truck - $2500
The Community Closet also had the opportunity to donate Silent Auction items to the St. Jerome’s Graduating Class and the fundraiser for the Lt. Col Craig Armoury.
Partnerships are also a very important aspect of the Community Closet. Bedding is donated to the Animal Clinic at Lakeland College, dinner plates for the Vermilion Legion, soccer cleats to the Vermilion Soccer Associations, Christmas Mugs for VIBE, and books for Belize and the lodge.
We are grateful to the community of Vermilion and Area for their continued support, all of our amazing team members, and volunteers from the community, such as the students from St. Jerome’s who helped us load the Diabetic Truck. Thank you also to Asher who has donated some of his profits from his Lemonade Stand this year. What a generous young man!
With your continued support of donations and shopping at the Community Closet we are able to support a variety of worthy causes. Thank you!
