The Vermilion Chamber hosted the Vermilion Night Light Stationary Parade on November 27, instead of a traditional parade due to COVID.

The parade floats from local businesses and organizations were assembled on the south side of Railway avenue at 7 p.m. and hundreds of attendees traveled west to east in their vehicles to view.

Due to COVID rules and regulations, float participants were asked to remain by their float or in their vehicle and they were not allowed to pass out candy.

The first 150 vehicles to view the parade were also provided the opportunity to receive a candy gift bag as well as a bag from the Western Institute of Emergency Education once they finished viewing the parade floats.

“We would like to thank the Cornerstone Co-op for their generous donation of candy for the parade,” stated a post on the Vermilion Alberta Chamber Facebook page.
