Crafternoons Gets Creative WithDIY Bath Bombs And Sugar Scrubs

The Vermilion Public Library was filled with creativity and wonderful scents on Wednesday, July 22, as participants gathered for another popular Crafternoons program.

Children aged six and older spent the afternoon creating their own luxurious bath bombs and sugar scrubs, learning how simple ingredients can be transformed into homemade self-care products. With all supplies provided free of charge, the one-hour workshop offered a fun, hands-on activity where participants could mix, shape and personalize their creations to take home.

Whether they planned to use their bath products themselves or gift them to a family member or friend, everyone had the opportunity to experiment with different scents while enjoying an afternoon of crafting in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The program was filled with laughter, conversation and plenty of creativity as participants carefully mixed ingredients, compared their creations and proudly showed off the finished products. The activity encouraged both imagination and practical skills while giving everyone a chance to learn something new.

The Crafternoons series continues to provide engaging opportunities for local families to explore different crafts throughout the summer, bringing people together to create, learn and connect.

The next Crafternoons session is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 1 to 2 p.m., when participants will create their own slime. The final summer Crafternoons event will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 1 to 2 p.m., featuring the creation of beaded plants. Registration is required for both programs, and space is limited.

Judging by the smiles around the room, the DIY bath bombs and sugar scrub workshop was another successful afternoon at the Vermilion Public Library, with plenty more creative fun still to come.
