Gord Bamford Back On The Stage

Gord Bamford

Gord Bamford is an Alberta singer/songwriter and is said to be, “one of the most decorated artists in Canadian country music.” During his career, Bamford has been awarded 26 Canadian Country Music Association awards, multiple JUNO nominations, and is the only two-time winner of Nashville’s Country Music Association Global Country Artist.

Bamford is also known for the success of his self-named charity The Gord Bamford Foundation which he began 14 years ago. Since its inception, the charity has generated over $4.5 million dollars and focuses mainly on children’s charities such as Make-A-Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Big Brothers and Sisters, numerous children’s hospitals across Canada and MusiCounts.

In June of 2021, Bamford released his 10th album titled ‘Diamonds in a Whiskey Glass’ featuring his recent hit single “Heaven on Dirt” which has quickly climbed the charts.

Bamford was disappointed when they had to postpone shows from his last tour due to COVID and after an almost two-year hiatus, Gord Bamford is back on stage with his ‘Kick COVID in the A**’ tour.

“I am excited to get back on the road with my band. I grew up in a small town, so it’s only natural for me to go back to the place where it all started. So many communities and organizations were affected hard by COVID. I cannot wait to return to live shows and bring people back together to enjoy the power of music,” commented Bamford.

While Bamford and his band are fully vaccinated, he does recognize that people have to make their own choice and after countless hours Bamford and his team have come up with a solution to have people safely attend their upcoming shows.

“I believe in freedom of speech and choice and every person on this earth should have that right, so I have decided that a great option for people who have decided not to be vaccinated is this. When you purchase a ticket to my show, I will provide you with a free rapid test which I will personally pay for and have a mobile testing site come into your community one day prior to the show and will be managed by certified healthcare professionals and follow all Alberta Health Services guidelines and regulations,” said Bamford.

Bamford’s tour will have him at the St. Paul Recreation Centre in St. Paul on December 10 and tickets are available through his website at gordbamford.com and can be purchased as groups or individually.
