Also, Prior was named as the Alberta Economic Developer of the Year. This prestigious award is awarded to an individual who has made significant contributions to economic development within their community and within the province of Alberta. Prior has worked diligently since 2009 to promote Vermilion throughout the Lakeland District and the province.

“I am so excited, honoured and proud to have been nominated and chosen as the 2020 Economic Developers Alberta Economic Developer of the Year. It is a huge honour and I want to attribute my success back to the great community we live play and work in.  We have so much to offer in Vermilion and are truly blessed. Great businesses, residents, Lakeland College, the Vermilion Provincial Park and the list goes on,” said Prior.
