This past weekend the Vermilion Roar held a Tournament, having over 30 games, with teams coming from Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Flagstaff, Lloydminster, and Wainwright. Vermilion Roar is part of the Wheatland Lacrosse Association. The teams ranged from Mini-Tykes to Novice and this was the first ever Mini-Tyke game included in the Tournament. On June 15, there were a lot of fun activities for everyone, including a dunk tank, skeet ball and face painting. There were also a lot of prizes to be won and 50/50 chances which made for a fun weekend. The finals came down to Lloydminster Novice 1 versus Lloydminster Novice 2 with the Novice 2 team winning the banner. All in all it was a successful Tyke and Novice weekend. The players, came played, and had a ton of fun!
